GDPR and Privacy policies by Eurolink Systems

Since our Company was founded we applied all the rules for privacy and confidentiality imposed by our field of operation, our Customers info and applications, our Supplier technologies, processes and info acquired during our operations. We never shared customer contacts personal info with external organizations and we never done customers profiling based on sensitive informations like politic, sex orientation, religion preferences since it is not in our Company policies and scope.

What is happening now?

It is GDPR – EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be enforced as new EU data protection law coming into effect. Since we are proud Europeans we welcome these new regulations and are happy to comply. Eurolink Systems loves Privacy!

How does this affect me? 
These changes do not affect how our services work or how you use them but the changes in the Terms of Service does affect you since that is an agreement between Eurolink Systems users and us. Using our products, services, email address after May 25th, 2018, means that you agree with the new Terms

For your privacy and data integrity, your rights just got a boost! Please make sure that you know your rights by reading the Privacy Policy hereunder listed .

What if I don’t agree? 
If you don’t agree to these changes, we’re afraid that you can’t use  any of our services and products after May 25. Do let us know, and we will remove your data according to the policy. But really, everything is just better for you after these changes.

We will only ever share your details with the relevant manufacturing partner if required for technical or commercial support. If you choose to remove your details from our database we will ensure this request is actioned by all parties.

Eurolink Systems srl  (“We”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This privacy policy tells you how we use your personal data when you visit our website, interact with us, and buy our goods and services.

It also tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

It is important that you read this privacy policy, together with any other privacy policies we may provide, so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data.

2. Changes to the Policy

Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.

The General Data Protection Regulation is new and the ICO is still releasing guidance about how businesses should incorporate it. You may see small updates to our privacy policy over the coming months.

3. Our Website

Our website at provides information about the products and services we sell on behalf of our manufacturing partners.  All of the products and services on the website are aimed at business users – from independent start-ups and developers to Europe’s largest manufacturers and system integrators. This website is in no way intended for children and we do not knowingly collect any data relating to children.

Eurolink Systems is a private limited company, established on 1997.

The sales office and staff are located at the same address above listed.

Eurolink Systems srl is the data controller responsible for this website and any handling of personal data carried out by or on behalf of Eurolink Systems srl.

4. Data We May Collect From You

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

We collect a variety of information about visitors and customers to the Eurolink Systems website. This personal data falls into these categories:

Identity Data 

  • Contact Data

Includes title, first name, last name, username or similar identifier and an encrypted version of your login/password. If you interact with us through social media, this may include your social media user name.

  • Marketing Data

Your preferences in receiving direct marketing from us and your communication preferences.

  • Transactional Data

Details about payments to and from your Company/you and other details of products and services your Company/you have purchased from us. Includes billing address, delivery address, email address and telephone numbers, bank references if any.

  • Profile Data

Username and password, purchases or orders made by you, preferences, comments and survey responses, as well as any profile data which we have added .

Technical Data 

We may collect information about your computer, including, where available, your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service.

This site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics sets a number of ANONYMOUS cookies in order to evaluate your use of the site and compile reports for us on activity. The website also uses cookies which are necessary for the running of the site.

You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of cookies. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our site. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you log on to our site.

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

If you choose not to share personal data with us, or refuse certain contact permissions, we may be unable to provide the products and services you require.

5. How We Collect the Data

You may directly provide us with your Identity, Contact and Financial Data by filling in forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone, email or through chat or social media.

This includes personal data you provide when you:

  • Leave comments on our news articles or our blog

    • For example, when you purchase our products, or have requested a quote.

    • For example, keeping records of our sales for ISO 9001:2015 quality purposes.

We may use your Identity, Contact, Marketing and Transactional details to form a picture of what we think you may be interested in, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which products, services and offers may be relevant for you and tell you about them.

We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to third party advertisers.

From time to time we work with partners to try and promote the reach of our adverts using analytics and retargeting for this purpose. We use Tracking Data to deliver relevant online advertising, including via websites and social media.

Tracking Data, and in particular cookies, help us to deliver website and social advertising that we believe is most relevant to you and to potential new customers of Eurolink Systems. The cookies used for this purpose are placed on our website by specialist organisations. This is why when you’ve been on the Eurolink Systems website, you might see a relevant product advertised again elsewhere. This includes retargeting.

It’s important to understand that we have no access to or control over cookies used by these companies or third-party websites. 8. Where and How We Store Your Personal Data

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”), since we use Cloud service provided by Google in accordance with GDPR. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of manufacturing partners. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services.

By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

We will only keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

By law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for ten years after they stop being customers for tax purposes.

9. Information Security

We limit access to your personal data to those employees who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach when we are legally required to do so.

  • The right to be informed
    • This means we have to tell you how and why we use your data. This privacy policy contains all the information you need.

    • You have the right to send us a ‘data subject access request’ for copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to rectification
    • You can request that we correct personal data about you that may be incomplete or inaccurate.
  • The right to be forgotten
    • Also known as the ‘right to erasure’, in certain circumstances you can ask us to delete the personal data we have about you. We will comply unless there’s an overriding legal reason that we need to keep it. For example, by law we must keep data for ten years for tax purposes
  • The right to restrict processing
    • In certain circumstances you can ask us to suspend processing personal data
  • The right to data portability
    • You may ask us for a copy of your personal data in a common format (for example, a .csv file);
  • The right to object
    • You can object to us processing your personal data (for example, if you object to us processing your data for direct marketing)
  • Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling
    • This means we must be transparent about any profiling we do, or any automated decision making.

12. Access to Information

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within two weeks. Occasionally it may take us longer than 2 weeks if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.

Please be aware that we may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.

We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
